Where have I worked (28 years over three continents)

Where have I travelled (four continents, but where do I want to go next?)

What do I believe in (why am I here?)

The University of Birmingham featured me here

I was also a career case study for the IET

One of my hobbies was Piano restoration

Major  collaborations

ETH, Zurich, Switzerland - originally as the co-ordinator of NTU's contribution to the Future Cities research theme of this three-way collaboration between NTU, NUS and ETH: with particular interest in computation, simulation and modelling. Co-supervising one PhD student under this NRF-funded programme.

EADS Innovation Works, Singapore - collaborating on projects involving polarimetric synthetic aperture radar and similar embedded/communications themes with Dr Timo Bretschneider. This includes the contribution of the AcRF funding (shown above), one PhD student, one project officer, one MSc student and two final year project students.

Institute of High Performance Computing, Singapore - co-leader of the RMMA (Resource Mapping for Multiple Architectures) strand of work under the virtual NTU-IHPC lab on Emerging Hybrid High-Performance Computing Techniques. This includes the contribution of one PhD student and one MSc student currently.

Tait Electronics Ltd, Christchurch, New Zealand - we have a loan space-time wireless research platform from Tait, and are working on several MIMO and modulation-related work themes in conjunction with Dr Kishore Mehrotra of MIMOMax Ltd (formerly Tait Electronics Group Research). This involes the contribution of one shared PhD student currently.

The University of Birmingham, England - working closely with Dr H. Ghafouri-Shiraz of the School of Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering on simulations of wireless system modulation, particularly OFDM-related techniques. This was funded in part by the Biritish Council, and involves the efforts of one shared PhD student currenty.

Kings' College, London - collaborating with honorary specialist registrar Dr Rose Ngu of King's Dental Institute and Guy's Hospital. This is funded under an NMRC development grant and includes the efforts of two PhD students (one part time Research Associate) currently.

Alexandra Hospital, Singapore and Chee ENT Surgery, Singapore - also on the above NMRC-funded project.
